Step One

For dirty oily parts I brush and wipe them off then soak in Gunk brand "Carburetor & Parts Cleaner". I have two cans of the stuff and use the old (dirty) Carb Cleaner as a pre clean, then in the newer (cleaner) Carb cleaner. Soaking in this cleaner for about 20 minutes will clean most parts. If your cleaning Carburetors you may want to let it sit longer and or agitate the parts tray to help things along.
